Saul G. Bloom, CPA (1955-2000) was the founding partner of Bloom & Bloom. Saul’s roots were in Brooklyn, New York and Newark, New Jersey. A former marine, Saul took advantage of the GI Bill after World War II and attended Rutgers Newark before passing the CPA exam on his first try. Saul further developed his skills while working for local regional accounting firms and the Internal Revenue Service as a revenue agent before founding the origins of what today is Bloom & Bloom, LLP.
The firm was quickly recognized as a leader in the arena of HUD Auditing and Accounting. Saul was acknowledged in his consulting assistance by co-authoring the Accounting Policies and Procedures Manual for the fledging NJ Housing Finance Agency (now NJHMFA). Saul is always remembered as a caring and generous ‘consigliore” to his clients. Saul’s presence at Bloom & Bloom is sorely missed, but we pay tribute to him by our dedicated commitment to his ideals of serving our clients.
